This book contains English and Chinese language characters. To view the Chinese language characters, you must have the appropriate Chinese language font installed on your system. The book is useful even if you cannot view the Chinese characters.

If you are using Netscape Communicator you can view all characters by using one of the following procedures:

• On a Tru64 UNIX system on which the Chinese worldwide language support subsets are installed, choose Character Set from the Netscape Communicator View menu and select either Unicode or Chinese.

• On a Windows 95 or Windows NT system on which a Chinese language font is installed:
  1. From the Netscape Communicator Edit menu, choose Edit, then Preferences.

  2. In the Preferences window, choose the Fonts category.

  3. For the Encoding, choose Chinese and click on OK.

  4. From the Netscape Communicator View menu, choose Character Set and select either Unicode or Chinese.

If it appears that the Chinese support software or fonts are not available on your system, see your system administrator.

If you are using a browser other than Netscape Communicator, search your browser's online help for information about setting up fonts and encoding. Alternately, ask your system administrator about installing and accessing the appropriate font. The HTML META command in this document contains a charset setting of utf8.
