Newish: Novell does Samba!
If you are interested in (or are already) porting Samba to VMS then please let me know. I am compiling
a list of those interested.
At last check, the latest version was 1.9.15p8. Check the change-log if you
want to be sure.

For information on where to find SAMBA, see the Where can I get it? section of the FAQ,
or just grab the latest release via FTP:
samba-latest.tar.gz or WWW:
samba-latest.tar.gz (at last check, version 1.9.15p8. See the
change-log
to be sure - Note: the WWW copy may not be as up to date as the FTP
copy).
Patches
If you compile Samba yourself and like to get every update, take a look at the patch files. They can be found at ftp://nimbus.anu.edu.au/pub/tridge/samba/patches/

Microsoft's TCP/IP-32 for Windows for Workgroups can be found at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/Clients/WFW/.
Microsoft have released version 3.11b. Users of version 3.11a should upgrade as bugs have been found. Check the INDEX.TXT file for updates.
Contributions
Contributions to the Samba suite can be found at ftp://nimbus.anu.edu.au/pub/tridge/samba/contributed. These contributions include Sambatar and the DHCP patch.
