Newcomb's message of Mon, 9 Mar 92 18:28:39 EST <9203092328.AA01725@tti> Subject: OODB? None of the commercial ones do. They are built from cfront. You "might" be able to get by with ObServer from Brown Univ. which is written in C. It's not a full-fledged OODB, but a moderately sophisticated persistent object manager. There is also the Stone project with the SOS OODBMS which is written in C++ and is available in source form from gate.fzi.edu. It really isn't a full-fladged database. It doesn't handle multiple users, concurrency, crash recovery, etc. But, it does provide a clean interface for storing C++ objects persistently. Hope this helps ! --geoff Geoff Wyant wyant@centerline.com Centerline Software, Inc. (Formerly Saber Software, Inc) 10 Fawcett Street Cambridge, Ma. 01238
